Description
Description
A soft silicone infant cup with straw for babies from 6 months: lid on, it is a spill-resistant straw cup, and lid off, it is an open cup for supervised practice.
The Olababy 5oz training cup pairs a tapered, weighted base that resists tipping with a soft silicone straw that has no valve. Without a valve, your baby draws the liquid up through the straw, which is the skill being practiced. The translucent body lets your baby see the liquid move and lets you see how much went down.
Snap the lid on for straw drinking and lift it off for open-cup practice. When a straw gets chewed or a lid goes missing, the lid and straw are also sold as a replacement set.
Why parents choose it
- Two ways to drink: straw with the lid on, open cup with the lid off
- Tapered, weighted base resists tipping but stays easy for small hands to lift
- Soft silicone straw with no valve, gentle on new teeth
- Translucent body shows how much your baby has had to drink
- Holds 5 oz (150 ml), with a larger 9oz cup for toddlers
What's included
1 training cup (5 oz) with lid and straw.

Is this straw cup spill proof?
No. The Olababy 5oz straw cup is spill-resistant with the lid on, and its straw has no valve to seal it shut. With the lid off it is an open cup by design, meant for supervised practice. What it adds is a tapered, weighted base that resists tipping, so the cup is less likely to go over in the first place.
Does the straw have a valve, and how hard does my baby have to suck?
No, the straw on the Olababy 5oz training cup has no valve. It is soft silicone, and your baby does the work of drawing the liquid up through it, which is the straw skill they are learning. If the straw gets chewed or lost, the lid and straw can be replaced together as a set.
When should my child move up to the 9oz cup?
Move up to the Olababy 9oz training cup when your child is 12 months or older and regularly empties the 5oz cup in one sitting. The 9oz cup works the same way, lid off for open-cup drinking and lid on for straw drinking, and holds more, which means one fill instead of two on longer outings.
